We are pleased to announce our Q2 Forum featuring the return of Ralf Garrison. On the heals of SVED’s Economic Summit in October, Visit Sun Valley contracted with Ralf to help assess our position in the resort marketplace.
Ralf is an industry veteran and research-based analyst/market planner and story-teller for destination resort-communities, and he’s a long-time friend to Sun Valley.

2018 Q3 – Economic Update

2017 saw growth in sales with some cities up and some slightly down.

Blaine County also saw increases in the number of jobs, businesses, wages and income from self-employment.

SVED estimates the Blaine County GDP to be $2.0 Billion in 2017, up from our last estimate of $1.8 Billion in 2014.

While economic indicators are up, the Blaine County population is flat with 0.3 growth per year over the last six years.
